Warranty Card.. how important is it? Auction site question

I was referred to a trusted AD whom does lots auctions, half of his Omega's do not have the warrany cards. I'm just getting into collecting Omega's, I know having all the documents are important, but his prices are incredible on the watches that do not have the cards...and from the pics, they look mint! He gaurantee they are authentic.. What to do? Any and all advice are appreciated:thanks

First off I don't know any Omega ADs selling on the bay.

That being said most Omega's selling on the bay are out of warranty any so in the respect of repair service you will be stroking a check for this work.

From a collector's viwpoint we like to have the complete package: Warranty/COSC cards, hang tags, boxes both inner and outer.

If it doesn't bother you, then may as well go for it.

I agree that it's nice to have the warranty card, original boxes, etc, however if the watch is past it's warranty period, and particlarly if it's an uncommon or older watch, I certainly wouldn't dismiss a genuine watch because it lacked box and papers, given that it's priced right.
Also as Watchking suggested, Omega AD's are not permitted to sell online.
There are a few trusted sellers of Omegas on the bay, so as long as you know of them and stick to them you will have a very high assurance of buying a genuine watch.

Just out of curiosity, will you share the sellers ebay ID with us?

As for the warranty card, I would prefer to have it. I like to have things complete. But if the price is a steal, I don't mind. My first Omega had everything and was fairly priced. My second was so cheap I didn't care that it didn't even come with box and papers, but it was once in a lifetime cheap.

I assume he's thinking of Jungo, jmyrshi i believe is his ebay name. The stuff that he doesn't have paperwork for are generally lower in price. I would trust him.

If it is authentic which it sounds like, it would only hurt you down the road should you wish to flip the watch IMO. I always hedge towards boxes and papers, but this probably goes 50/50 if you did a poll.
Better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done...

Your call, I wouldn't buy without box and papers
regardless of the age of the watch as those to
me make the watch complete. If it's not an issue
    to you then get buying!

Thank you for all of the responses, watch-man is correct in the seller, I just lucked out the seller in just down the road. I've been watching the bay for the last two weeks on SMPs and the prices fluxuate tremendously between the ones with the Warranty card and the ones without, granted these are older models and pass the 2 yr warranty; so there basically no warranty. Guess, I'm just getting into this slowly, again, I appreciate all of the input. This is truly a wealth of information and it's getting addicting... I'm afraid, once the purchasing starts, you can't really just have one Omega!

Jungo is pretty cool, if papers dont bother you and you are not going to sell it on in the future I would recommend him big time.
