    Is this watch authentic???

Is there any reason to doubt the authenticity of the "Vintage Omega" ? Seller represents it as a 1956 Seamaster. I'm confused because the movement # seems to consist mostly of letters. Is this possible?

If the number you're referring to is the one stamped inside the caseback, then that's not the movement number, it's the case number...

I'm talking about the movement number. See third and fouth photos. There is a series of letters beginning with "U" where I would expect to find the movement "number"

The caliber number is 500 which is marked on the automatic winding bridge under the Omega symbol. See the third photo.

The watch is clearly authentic and is probably from 1956. Presumably the seller has dated it from the serial number.
