    WOW Now I Understand..

A local chain jeweler just began carrying pre-owned Omega which I found out today when I decided to go in for the heck of it.

Anyway when I saw the omega display my eyes lit up, Iíve never seen one in the flesh before. I knew from the second I saw it that I HAD to try on a speedmaster and I have to say that Iím in love
Lol. The bracelet was already even sized for my wrist and it fit like a glove , truly a fantastic watch and now I get why people love these so much. Iím really thinking that a co-ax speedmaster will have to be my next watch...

Also could anyone shed any light on exactly what model this is? They wanted $5600 for it, Iím having a hard tome figuring out if thatís a good price or not.

Looks like a run of the mill speedy to me, the sapphire crystal version. 5600 in US dollars? Seems high to me, especially pre-owned.

No - that would be a manual-wind movement. This is an automatic with calibre 9300 coaxial movement. Possibly the 311.30.44.51.01.002 ($8700 list):

Still a run of the mill speedy, you can go to any OB and buy one.

I wouldn't get the 9300 speedy. Either get a Speedy Pro or the Planet Ocean. Head over to watchrecon and get a way better price.

I wouldn't mind owning one. Other than the 44mm size. But would rather have the "42"mm .005 or .006 (actually... I do own one), or the current 38mm automatic variant.

The asking price does seem a bit high - but it's at least in the ballpark considering that it probably includes a (2 year?) warranty. If I were interested enough to buy it I'd probably offer them $5000.

The Omega website shows that this model is "no longer available." I do see that Jomashop and other gray sellers are still offering them for sale, albeit at prices higher than $5600. I'd prefer a local purchase over a purchase from Joma or similar as long as the seller includes a warranty and the price is similar or less (and the watch in nice shape of course!).
