    Yet another spring bar question

I have a SMPO XL (2200.50.00) and I was finally able to locate a gently used OEM rubber strap (98000145) for a decent price but it lacks spring bars. Fom what I've garnered searching the forum, one uses a longer spring bar on the strap than on the bracelet. I was able to find a great deal about the subject on the 42mm SMPO (20mm/19mm) but not on the big boy. I would deduce that it's probably (22mm/21mm) but I'd like a confirmation as well as recommendations or where to purchase replacements. Also, if anyone has a good bead on where to get a replacement tang buckle (O94512022) for the strap, that would be lovely.

This watch is my pride and joy and I definitely do NOT want to mess up something as seemingly trivial as a spring bar and suffer the horrible consequences of it failing.

Re: Yet another spring bar question

Omega like a lot of other watch manufacturers use a smaller bar for the bracelet version

I think the SMPO XL is 22mm. The bracelet version has a 21mm springbar. You need a 22mm springbar. You don't have to get one from Omega. A trip to a watchmaker/jeweler will get you quality springbars for a good price

Thanks, I eventually unearthed the omega part number (068st2210) not that knowing that helps since, even if I wanted to buy OEM spring bars, my AD admonished me, "We don't sell parts". I ended up going to Ofrei and getting their 22mm X 1.8mm spring bars which is exactly what is called for when attaching anything other than the bracelet.

My local Omega boutique gives spring bars for free when asked. I'd imagine that yours would to. For future reference
