I've got a quartz GS...... If that's what you're interested in, I can put at least one photo up. If you are interested in the automatic one, there is a model that looks exactly like mine except that it says "Automatic" on the face. If you are interested in the Springdrive one, you can see them on

    Here are mine:
    Grand Seiko SBGR023 (9S55).

Grand Seiko SBGM001(9S56, GMT). The best GS in my eye.

    Grand Seiko handwind SBGW001 (9S54).

Grand Seiko automatic SBGL001 (9S67). 72 hours power-reserve and indicator. Display back.

Nice movement indeed. But remember that its not merely the number of jewels that make a movement better. The balance can be of different types and qualities, the main spring can be of differing types with differing tempering, the quality of the jewels involved can actually be different too. Then there is the matter of "adjustments" - the GS pictured was adjusted in 6 positions and for temperature which means that it will run consistently regardless or the position the watch is held in (my 6R15B in my Spirit runs slow in the upright position, faster crown up, and fairly steady in the crown down position - and that is more typical of standard watches).

These things hold true for all mechanical watches - the 7750 Chrono movement comes in differing grades (I just did a review of the 7750 in my Mido which is a "Top" Grade Eta movement with LOTS of enhanced parts over the "Standard" Grade movements) too.

As long as you follow those simple rules - you shouldn't listen to anyone about your watches.
