I believe the best watch nicknames have emerged organically from within the community, sometimes gradually, sometimes virally, through discussion and sales references.
Such nicknames very rarely, if ever, become established by a committee of WIS in a single thread.
That said, I'm all up for the Seiko Pogo.
"Turtle 2000" sound good to me too.
In my part of world ( Asia---hong kong) .The seiko fans have named the original 6309 model ' abalone ' for a very long time ..... So why don't we just take this tradition in the Far East into consideration??

I know, it is a Seiko homage of a Seiko diver, and thus many believe or feel that it should be named after earlier models. Thus the ambhibian name suggestions.
Personally, my first (English) thought that crossed my mind when seeing the new pictures was that it is huge. And flat. So I suggest - sort of out of the competition since the die hard enthusiasts will cringe - that the new Seiko diver is to be called the Seiko Flapjack
