Rumors are December or January 2016. I saw one seller on Chrono 24 taking preorders at $455 and $499 but I don't know how legit they are or if they're just trying to cash in on the early excitement.

They're all SRPs, aren't they? Call them SuRPies. As in "I have a new SuRPy incoming! I hate the Turtle name, on these, and even more so on the 6309-704x models.
Some of those, a few of these and a couple of the others.

Another vote for Seaturtle. Keeps with the S naming theme, recognises that it's an homage to the earlier edition without being exactly the same, and of course it's a dive watch, so made to be worn in the sea.

I think the reason why this tread is because Seiko is resurrecting a well-loved legend and we all hope that our beloved legend will get a name that is fitting to it. I believe early next year when people finally get their hands on them, they will undoubtedly can't wait to start a "Show Me Your ............ (watch name)" thread and it is this thought that whoever is going to be the 1st to start a thread on these beauties may get the name "wrong" and we'll end up getting stuck with it that worries me. The OP probably felt that way that's why he started this thread in the hopes of getting it right before it's arrival. It only goes to show how much we are all looking forward to it's arrival!

Honestly what caught my attention to the 6309 diver was the flattened case and the sword (most of us see it as a sword than a pogo stick) at the 12 o'clock. It just looks so very unique and beautiful!! Because there is another similar looking one with the square markers, in order to prevent any confusion and to be more specific, i feel it's only appropriate that we name it either the X-Turtle (after the "X" for Propex) or the Excalibur (after the sword).

So let's settle on either of these 2 names, the X-Turtle or the Excalibur. Honestly I'd very much prefer the Excalibur cos to the uninitiated, one look and they'll instantly know how the name came about but for the turtle it'll be "Hmmm...... errr..... oh i get it!"

i have many many memory with many watches, but the only one that is worthy is my all time favorite - the Tudor Submariner 79090.
