The 'X' is the fairly new Prospex logo, it's a P crossed over an S. I suspect we'll have it for at least a decade or more before a new logo makes it's way forward.

The hands are very traditional to Seiko divers, hard to believe someone would seem as though they are surprised by them.

if the watches weren't designed to be worn and used while wet (remember maintenance is your responsibility), they wouldn't say: 200m, 20 BAR, Diver, Scuba, Water Resist..... and we've all been grossly mislead ......

The user's instructions that came with my new Monster says that soap may damage the seals. It also says not to wear it in a hot tub. I can see the danger of warm temps and chlorine having a negative effect over time, eh?

I was given a watch from a friend of mine who wore it in the shower every day for several months. And while I can't tell if there's been any damage to the seals, there was a film of soap between the bracelet links and between the bracelet and the lugs. I don't want that happening, nor do I want that soap film on the seals.

The user documentation also says to rinse the watch in fresh water after using in salt water. I imagine that's for the same reason. Maybe this is what you refer to as part of maintenance being your responsibility.

Just got mine today. The shiny hands look weird and yes there is a chapter ring alignment problem.

Can we have some lume shots? We need shots compared to the SKX007/009, monster, and sumo.

Man, I'm not buying if chapter rings are still off.

Does anyone know if these will be shower-safe? It's well known that most dive watches should not be used in showers.

By the way, I've already ordered one of each. I'm going to have them all TSTed.
A well known myth you mean. :)
Just rinse the watch afterward to get all the soap/shampoo off.

In keeping with the military tradition in naming as well as its shape my vote for its name would be "Tate" Japanese for military shield. (military shield 軍事的盾)
