Question Need help: SEIKOMATIC CHRONOMETER 6245-9000 Cal. 6245A

    Hello all,

    It is a 1965 Seikomatic Chronometer 6245-9000.
I have purchased an original 1963 Omega Constellation Jumbo (37mm) from the same seller and it was a legitimate all original watch (minus the strap).

My question is quite simple: Does anyone see any issues with authenticity? redial?

(Sorry for the low quality images, I got them off the seller's WeChat page.)
UPDATE: HIGH RES PHOTOS IN THE SECOND POST!

    Thanks in advance,
    M_L_W

I have no experience in vintage

Initial impression was the dial looked new and not in keeping with the aged worn case back - too clean for a used 50yr old watch ?

Engraving looked really poor on the inside of the case back

    Thanks for your reply.
Apparently, the dials on these age well. I have seen a few examples online where the case looks rough, but the dial looks brand new.
Someone else stated this in the GS forum, where I linked to this post (see post #2):

Lastly, I agree that the engraving looks rough too. Perhaps it was just a bad pressing.

Interesting and those posters seem to know what they are talking about
credit to Seiko that they can produce a dial that still pops like that after 50yrs wear
I did some comparisons with online images and it does seem the movements look unfinished and unimpressive but the dials quality

    Like always, buy the seller

The watch is genuine and everything looks at least period correct. Congratulations! These are not easy to find anymore for reasonable prices.

Here's my Seikomatic 6245-9000 Chronometer. The precursor to Grand Seiko's first automatic:

I also picked up a custom display caseback so I can check out the movement:

To answer your intitial question I would agreed with the crowd as everything does look correct.

The near bezel-less design really makes the dial pop out despite the size.
