    Is it normal that my SARB033 date change is @ 11:50 PM??

    Hello All,

    I have the SARB035 and the Sumo as well and both of them flip the date at midnight precisely.

    I rarely wear the SARB033 and don't think I've ever worn it in the evening past 9, hence why I've just noticed the problem after a year of ownership.
    Also, the seconds and and hour hand seem to fidget when the crown is pulled all the way out and I'm adjusting the time. Again, this does not happen on my SARB035 and Sumo.

    Did I just get a lemon that needs to be warrantied out or is this par for the course w/ Seiko QC?

    Just checked three of my SARBs and one SARX. They all flipped the date between 11:53 and 11:55. All before midnight (including my SARB035).

    My sarbs

    Sarb017 = 11:49
    Sarb001 = 11:54
    Sarb009 = 12:01

    11:50 is normal.

    Just checked my 033, date change starts around 10:20 and completes at 11:48. My 065 starts at 10:30 and ends at roughly 11:58

    Again, thanks for the feedback everyone.

    I got nervous seeing the date flipping "early".

    Some watchmakers even set the time of change to +-5-10min on purpose.

    If it was changing while you were eating lunch I’d say you had a problem but 11:50 pm is just fine.
