only noticed this after 12 month's

Well I was lying in bed the other night just about to charge my Astron Big Date's lume for the night and ,,, WOAW ! I noticed how well done the etching on the bracelet and watch case back was done especially the SEIKO on the clasp and the Astron world logo , yes I had seen this nearly every day for the almost 12 months of owning this beauty ( 8 days ) but never spotted how crisp and clean it was until now .

It was just how the bedside lamplight caught it at the time and I have tried to capture it on my smartphones camera , got probably 80% of the look .

I love the little (subtle) details that Seiko watches seem to offer, that I sometimes notice only much later! E.g. One Seiko watch I have has a blue dial that shows a blue hue sometimes that look absolutely spectacular to me. Don’t see it all the time, only see it sometimes, under certain lighting condition or angle.

Or another one has a bezel, dial, and crystal that shines very nicely under many lights at my local reference (bigger) library. Makes it look luxurious, without the luxury pricing.

Or black hands or hour markers that shine. It’s quite an unexpected effect when I first noticed it.

Fine, but before leaving I'd like to suggest that you should look into other etching methods as well. Depending on the complexity of the work and nature of the material, other methods like chemical etching could be used as well.
