    seiko SARZ035. Simple mod idea

This new seiko was just released on the 9th november. really nice bezel shape , but im not a fan of the dial, especially the big 24 and 18, and the weird 21 H. its screaming out for a simple dial and hands mod to make an easy SOXA. not sure what movement it is, but probably a 4r36.

I think it would also make a good base for a submariner style mod.

    What do other people think?

also comes in green (SARZ033) and black (SARZ037)

A friend of mine and I were having the same exact discussion. That the entire watch was begging for a dial swap, but other than that it was pretty darn good looking! I think that I would be personally tempted most by the black dialed variant with this dial from Jake.

That would look smart as well. A very technical look. I really like the case and bezel. Think there's a lot of potential

I also think that dial is very strange and question why Seiko thinks that it would appeal in general to watch buyers... one thing I don't get, and I know there's a previous watch with a similar bezel, but what's with all the fuel readings and stuff like that? How does this bezel function to read fuel and such??

    Isn't that a pilot's slide rule bezel?

I could see that being a cool PO inspired watch (not a straight up homage, but similar styling ques.)

Yes. It essentially replicates an E6B which does a lot of nifty conversions and computations for you while in the air. I prefer the digital versions for flying, but there is something pretty cool about doing it manually and something even cooler about doing it on your watch . The Nighthawk and Skyhawk lines have the same thing on them, as do the Breitling Navitimers and many others.

    Bumping this up!
How can I determine which watch faces will fit this? I'm seriously considering picking one up and swapping the face.
