    Seiko SCUBA without Prospex "X"

I've got nothing worthwhile to offer here but somebody on Instagram posted up asking which Seikos we had with "SCUBA" and without the "X" on the dials and I was inspired to gather mine for a family photo. So let's consider this thread as an ode to the days before the big Prospex "X" was on most of the diver's!

Full disclosure, up until a few weeks ago I had the green SLA019 and while I bemoaned the inclusion of the "X" when I first received it, it really was a thing of beauty and that "X" quickly faded into the background for me.

i'd kill for a re-release of the perpetual calendar, high performing quartz SKX look alike.

That one is my newest acquisition of the bunch and it's quickly become my favorite. Looks basically the same as the SKX but a better fitting size and (IMO) a better movement! I honestly cannot fathom that I'd ever wear my SKX again.

There is no large single letter X on the dial of any Prospex. Lol, it is a P laid over the S. Yes, I know, but it looks like an X. Just having fun!

Hilariously I've become so accustomed to the Prospex logo that some of these were jarring for me to see. Either way, very nice collection, love seeing the OG's

Because, though unnecessary, it is being forced onto most every dial, contrary to all aesthetics, and regardless of individual model design.

Yeah, I get it, it's a "P" and an "S" as a logo, but it just comes across as an "X". And it just ain't that nice.

"Seiko" alone on the dial would be absolutely sufficient as branding. The "Prospex" logo could be put anywhere else, but please not on every dial!
