Yeh, its really bad form that Seiko wont step up - especially at high end like this watch, but also with their nonchalant attitude to lower end alignment issues. It aint rocket science to sort and just a little more manufacturing precision & QC would make all the difference to customers and to Brand perception. This 30cm thing is not good (even if not entirely illogical, as most cant see the tiny error from a foot away). Come on Seiko

Tried the fit last year, unfortunately it's a no go, the spring bar holes do not line up, vaguely recall the fit being good otherwise.

    T4S
If the spring-bar holes don't line up, there's no "othewise"... lol
So the mystery continues... or maybe Seiko were initially planning to include a bracelet for it, but decided in the end we're getting enough for our €5K...

Just picked up a few "Uncleseiko" straps for my Prospex trio.
The jury's still out in terms of quality, comfort & durability but here are some pics of US's Tropic & Waffle vs. OEM silicon (from the SLA017, SLA025 & very most likely, the upcoming SLA033):

    SLA017 & Tropic

    MM300 & Waffle

SLA025 & OEM (uncleaned to show the lint-magnet characteristics...)

    All (incl. SBDX001 OEM strap)

How do you like owning the marine master and the Sla025? I’ve owned both but not at the same time. I felt like when I had the sla021, I really just longed for the 025.

I'm not 100% sure I understand your question. I'm a collector, albeit a very modest one and when I had the opportunity to acquire the NOS SBDX001 - for less than original retail - it was a no-brainer. Despite their relation, I find both to be quite different, in terms of aesthetics as well as the modest differences in geometry and size (height). It's also amazing what one millimeter difference will do regarding lug-width and strap.!

I also bought a 20mm US Tropic but it will most likely never be seen on the MM300 because it is a tapered strap and simply doesn't fit such a large watch. I also would not mount the 19mm Tropic on the SLA025. Both of these demand a non-tapered strap, preferably with some thickness. This is also one of the potential issues I have with the Uncleseiko Waffles. It's not tapered which is why I bought them, but I didn't realize they were half the thickness of the OEM straps. It's less bothersome than a tapered strap, but still feels a bit off... Time will tell if I can adjust or if I go back to the OEMs...
