SKX bezel gasket: do I need it?

    Hello!
The bezel on my SKX007 was becoming very hard to turn so I popped it off and discovered the gasket was stretched out and obstructing the rotation. I will be replacing it, but my question is:
What exactly does the gasket do and am I damaging the watch with normal wear (not swimming, but I do wash my hands) by using the watch with the bezel re-attached with no gasket.
    Thanks in advance!

The bezel serves two purposes, 1) it assists in keeping the bezel on and 2) it creates friction to keep the bezel from spinning too easily. Not having a gasket there will not harm the WR of your watch as that gasket has nothing to do with maintaining WR. When replacing it just make sure to get the proper size and don't twist it when you install it.

What Sea said. I think it depends on the watch as some owners report that gasket removal had no effect on their bezel while others said it was an absolute necessity on their watch.
