SKX007 Help!! What Bezel and Crystal..

    Hi Guys

I'm new to watch modding and my first project is to upgrade my SKX007.

    New Bezel and Insert.
    Sapphire Crystal.
    Signed Crown.
    Strap.

I've already got a StrapCode on order.

But... Can someone point me in the right direction for the best quality of Bezel, Insert, Crystal and Crown please.

I'm in France so suppliers closer to France would be best but I guess no problem ordering from anywhere.

    Many Thanks in advance.

    Graeme

Thanks for advice guys..... Someone just recommended CrystalTimes or Dagaz to me..... Any thoughts?

Dagaz seem to have a sloped ceramic bezel with a flat bottom. Apparently most sloped bezels aren't flat on the bottom?

I'm guessing I'll just have to order and hope for the best quality wise?

DLW Watches and Namoki Mods are also excellent aftermarket suppliers.

I've never handled a Dagaz sloping insert, but for all of the others it is true that the bottom is not completely flat. However, the outermost 2mm of the back of the inserts that is flat for mounting. So far I haven't had any issue using double sided adhesive rings, but a dab of GS Hypo Cement at four points helps a bit to secure them, I'm certain.

I just bought a knurled bezel for my SKX off eBay (Phillipines). Once installed, it did not turn. Bezel insert was fine, but I'd reconsider for more of the crucial parts of the mod.

Could be the gasket is too thick. Have you tried installing the bezel without a gasket? This will allow you to asses whether it is just the gasket or if it is an issue with the cut of the bezel. I've experienced this with various bezels: too loose or no movement at all. The right size gasket makes all the difference so long as the machining isn't the issue. I've got gaskets ranging from 0.7mm to 0.9mm thick in 34mm 34.5mm and 35mm ID's to swap until I get the desired feel. Even though several aftermarket suppliers include a gasket with their bezels, I've found that few actually fit right.
