I had a wonder around Winchester yesterday to look in the watch shops. We only have 4 (2 of which only sell s/h Rolex and various other expensive units) but with a vast selection of makes/models.

And again I saw nothing that came close to this.

Don - Winchester UK Hampshire? Small world - I walked around it today with my wife - disappointing watch shopping - thought Burrells had some genuine sales on Breitling though - but ur right, as a Seiko enthusiast, disappointing. My fave book shop, next to Cathedral was shut and my fave restaurant queuing to the door. But I did get some cool new orange reading glasses :)
    love ur 62 MAS
    happy new year

Just picked up a few "Uncleseiko" straps for my Prospex trio.
The jury's still out in terms of comfort, durability & quality but here a are some pics of US's Tropic & Waffle vs. OEM silicon (from the SLA017, SLA025 & very most likely, the upcoming SLA033):

    SLA017 & Tropic

    MM300 & Waffle

SLA025 & OEM (uncleaned to show the lint-magnet characteristics...)

    All (incl. SBDX001 OEM strap)

I'm sure there are others too, but I just like having all my Seiko divers on rubber / silicon. When I bought the SBDX001 it was mounted on the OEM bracelet and I asked the AD to switch it over to the included rubber strap. Maybe it's related to the fact that the 62MAS was sold with a rubber (Tropic) strap and thus I subconsciously prefer it on rubber

On the flip-side, I prefer my Sea Dwellers on their bracelets although I also enjoy the 16600 on various NATO straps (more subconscious implications - think 1960s Bond )

    Enjoy your combo
