    Question Strap for Samurai...any ideas???

    Hi folks,

I just purchased a Seiko Samurai with white dial.

I decided to go for the white face because I´m of the opinion that it looks more vintage than the black one.

Now I wanna buy a strap to make it look even more vintage.

I think the best solution will be a leather strap as known from Panerai or Kobold...yep, a very thick one, but it has to be smooth and comfortable as well.

    Any ideas???

Concerning the colour, I guess I´ll go for a brown one and will such a thick strap fix to the Springbars / lugs?

What do you think about that???

Please state some links where to buy and - of course - some pics will be highly welcomed too

    Thank you in advance.

Wear it on a bund. Any other strap configuration won't look nice.

You see, the lug holes are almost at the tip of the lugs. So, putting on an ordinary strap will leave a big gap between the lug end of the strap and the watch case.

Unless you can get a strap with a curve end, like the Doxa's. I leave mine on the original bracelet.

I used to wear mine on a black carbon (Panerai style) from Don Ginsler:

Hirsch Liberty, brown with white stitching. They're nearly 5mm thick! I have one on my Poljot Aviator and love it.

Question Re: Strap for Samurai...any ideas???

    Hi my friend,

I already thought about this strap...but won´t it be too thick to fit between the springbars and the case???:-S

    Re: Strap for Samurai...any ideas???

I've worn my blue titanium samurai on one of Dons blue sharkskins, Dirks honey calfs and a black rhino.

Looks best on the rhino but makes it sit too high on the wrist for me. Most comfortable on the sharkskin though, but it did leave a large gap between the case and the strap.

I've had it back on the braclet now for a while and I'm comfortable with that for now.

    regards,
    Gordon.
