I have a 7in wrist and can wear a watch up to about 48mm without looking silly. But i mostly stick to 36mm to 42mm.

Both the 40mm and 42mm have a low enough profile and sit flat enough on the wrist to look good on most wrists. I do think the 40mm looks better on my wrist and gives it a classic vibe. However the large crystal and dial do give the 40mm and 42mm versions the appearance of being bigger. For instance I have a Edox Delfin Fleet 1650 diver which is 43mm in diameter. The 40mm Oris 65 looks just as big as the Delfin.

Oris gave the 65 such a good design that the watch actually looks bigger then it is

You cannot go wrong with ether but if you want one that is closer to the classic models then the 40mm is the one for you.
Agree that with this design, bigger actually looks better IMO. I've tried on the 42 and 40 and preferred the 42 even though I have relatively small wrists (6.5")

Hi everyone. I'm about to pull trigger for 42mm metal bracelet green dial 65 oris. however, im not sure if 42 fits me well as im usually wearing 44mm and above cuz my wrist size 7.5" (19cm)

my current Oris Aquis is 45.5mm and i attached here foto. as far as i know oris 65 has vintage design and it looks bigger than it actual size and ppl here on this thread talking like that as well. saw your all photos looks 42 will be fine more. i wanna add this beautiful watch in my collection. I'll be so glad if you can share your thoughts with me here

They wear a bit larger because of the thinner bezel. 42mm is the sweet spot for my 7.5" wrist.

I used to own the 40mm but can't find any wrist shots unfortunately. This is a watch in the same style as an Oris Divers but at 41mm on my wrist.
