Any Idea how fast Limited edition Oris watches sell out?

    All,
I was wondering if anybody has an idea how fast usually a LE model sells out. In 1 month? 6 months? In a year or more?
I know it really depends on a model but just an average time would work and I thought maybe someone here has had a LE model under their radar before it was sold out. Also, do you know if this information is available anywhere?

Depends on the LE model; I have two. The Source of Life allegedly went very fast; the Staghorn is still available, I believe, even though it was the earlier model.

How fast? Do you have any idea?
I also did a search on that model and it looks like it is still available brand new, although not directly from Oris.

It depends. I’ve known some LE watches sell out in a few months whereas others have hung about for years.

Yea it has to do with the model and also the quantity it was made. It is different if there were 2500 made or 1000.

Hmmmm, I recall Frank Sinatra sold pretty fast, but I don't recall the duration.

Yes I have done some research and found out the Jazz LEs eventually sold out and all of them are sold out now compared to some other LEs that are still available.

SoL available everywhere still? Not even close...

For LE's, it really depends on what's sitting in jeweler's cases. When looking for a SoL back this summer, I called 20 different stores in my region, with many stores "shocked" I would be asking for such an old limited edition. Surprisingly, I ended up finding two (2!) at a couple stores that were only 30 minutes away from each other. You just never know until you start calling.

Also, searching chrono24 is an easy way to find them as well. What did we do before the internet?
