Bronze Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 80th Anniversary

The Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 80th Anniversary is my favorite daytime watch. It harkens Spring, the beach, and long lunches. Rumor has it The Great Gatsby wore one. ;)

I am strongly considering one of these and swapping out the dial for a red one. I saw a dude from fratello watches do just that and love the look. One thing that worries me is the bronze. Copper asbolutely turns my skin green quickly, so I'm interested in a treated case and not the aging aspects. I believe oris coated the new 40 inch version of this watch. Can anyone confirm or deny? I'm also looking at Stowa for just this reason.

OP, great looking watch. The bronze case and green dial really float my boat.

Greg, why not ask Oris about any treatment they might use.

This Oris has a SS back as does my Lum-Tec M84 which is also bronze. Both bronzes have a high aluminum content which enables the patina but prevent skin discoloration.

Wearing it today. The strap is kinda funny. Can't even say if I like or dislike. It's 20mm x 16mm. Good leather but fits loose and funky, very vintage. Scuff prone, but again, part of the charm.
