    Deep scratch repair

    Hi.
I have a fairly deep scratch to the bracelet of my Aquis, where it has rubbed against the casing.
Do you think a reputable repair shop will be able to remove (or at least make this scratch a bit less noticeable)?

    Thanks
    Chris

That looks too deep to get fully finished again but Id recommend you take it to someone reputable that may be able to minimize its appearance.

    Good Luck.

I’d leave it. Gives the watch character..

A watchmaker could brush it back to normal with a machine. Mine has gotten some impressive scratches out of one of my watches.

You could also take the bracelet off, tape the polished side links of the bracelet, then brush the link with the green side of a Scotch brute sponge. It might not take it all the way out but it’ll at least last most of it.

I do this every so many months with my watches on bracelets

It’s a fairly deep mark but a watchmaker may be able to minimise the appearance of it. If it’s off the case I’d be looking into this first to see if it might happen again.

Thank you for all your replies. Yes it looks as though this has come from the underside of the case, must be quite sharp.
When speaking to a reputable repairer I will mention these sharp edges also to see if they can be smoothed a little
