Difference between old and new Oris Artelier Complication

    Hello Watchuseek

I have a question about the Oris Artelier Complication watch.

I have these two model numbers :

    01 781 7703 4054-07 5 21 71FC
    And
    01 781 7703 4054-07 1 21 74FC

As far as I know, the 1 21 74FC is an updated version of the watch but what is the real difference? Just another movement?
The price difference is 187 dollars. Is it worth to get the "new" version?

    Thanks in advance
    Mike

Mike, don't they both run the SW200-1 but the 74FC comes on croc while the 71FC comes on plain old cow?

    Thanks for the answer Sticky.

From your point of view, is it worth to spend the extra money to get the croc compared to cow? I have never worn a croc before, therefore curious :)

Croc straps are nice, very nice, but I personally don't think it's a worthwhile expense. If you look on one of the other threads you can see my Oris collection is more than a bit lacking in leather but I understand that their bovine straps are very good and never saw the point in forking out for croc. I'm never sure whether it's croc or gator for sure but it's one of those things with short legs and lots of teeth.
