    Grandad's old watch looking shiny

    Hi all,

    Just thought i'd pop up a picture of my late grandfathers Oris watch. I was given this about 17 years ago when I was young and silly. It was sitting in a box of crap (in the shed of all places) until I found it last year.

    I sent it off to a repairers t'up north that had it for a good few weeks before telling me there was nothing they could do :( By complete fluke, I was talking to a friend who has a modern Oris and he mentioned the only official UK repairers for Oris....IN THE NEXT VILLAGE!

    So, here she before and after Andrew Charles in Hitchin fixed her up;

    It cost a fair bit, but I wear it most days and it's the only thing I have of my grandad's (and you can't put a price on something that sentimental)!

    Thanks guys :) I don't really know anything about the watch other than the repairer saying its likely a 60's model.

    It does make me smile

    Very nice. It looks like they replaced the crown?
