New Oris Art Blakey Limited Edition

Anyone interested? I'm not planning on making any new purchases this year, but this is absolutely gorgeous. They always hit it out of the park with their jazz LEs. I love simple and elegant white dials like this and the caseback transforms it into something truly special and unique.

The size is right, but whats up with the placement of those indices?

The article explains the jazz inspiration. I like it, but I'm guessing it'll be a dealbreaker for many.

They’re supposed to mimic the drum head clamps, which is a cool idea but I agree the placement would cause confusion at a glance.

Personally, I still hope to own an Oris John Coltrane LE some day...

Sure is a change of pace for Oris, now, a little more contrast.

I like Oris watches no end but that’s a bit too minimalist for me.

Looks like a piece specially designed for musicians.
A piece of my favorite timepiece, is like a dish of local delicacies. It's not about how good it may look, or how branded in may came from popular stalls or restaurants. It's always the materials and concoction that produces the best keep!

Thanks for posting. At first I found the Art Blakely LE to be pretty stark; however, it is kind of growing on me. I like the minimalist dial approach with no numbers or a date, and the placement of the indices is interesting idea and makes the watch all the more unique. Finally, the lume shoot in the photo is great. And maybe that would be my only recommendation to the overall design of the watch, and that is to place a lume maker at the hour markers instead of at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions.

I really like it. I hope to try one on at some point.

My only concern is that I have small wrists, and the thin bezel and significant empty space on this will make it wear too large.

Nice looking watch. But the placement of the applied indices are a bit odd. Makes time reading a difficult process when you take a quick glance.
