New Release! Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115

Introducing the Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115, a pure expression of Oris’s mechanical watchmaking philosophy. Inspired by aviation, architecture and nature, it’s powered by a new, fully skeletonised movement designed in-house by Oris. Calibre 115 has a 10-day power reserve and a non-linear power reserve indicator.

MSRP: $7,600. Oris Big Crown ProPilot X VS Zenith Defy. What is your choice?

Oris continues to do some great and innovative stuff. The vintage craze won't last forever and this watch is a real step forward. Great brand!

Great achievement. Although I am not normally a fan of skeleton type watches, this one really appeals to me. All titanium, manually wound, 10 day power reserve, case actually built around the movement. And all this at a fair price, too. Love the way all surfaces are brushed as well. And I love watches that have a movement which exactly fits the case, either movement made for the case or, in this instance, the case made around the movement!

Plently of great reviews already. This Hodinkee review got me started:

Can't wait to see this one in real life. Although I don't think I could pull it off, it is still a wonderful achievement. I actually like the looks better than the skeleton type of Zenith, and that is saying a lot, as I am a huge Zenith fan.

    Cheers,
    Carl

This thing is quite the achievement for Oris. The Zenith Defy is a line of watches, so you have more choice. This Oris however is a WIS watch through and through. I like it, but unfortunately, skeleton is not my jam.

It's stunning. Congrats to ORIS. This is what we like to see in the watch industries. Innovations.

    Oooh! That's killer.

Was wandering where the love for the in house manufacture manual wind models was on the forum.

I have a Calibre 113, which is also a great watch. This Calibre 115 will be one of the few additions to my collection, provided I can swing it.

This looks awesome! I'm hoping it arrives soon at my local AD so I can try it on.

Also makes me curious about what else Oris has in the pipeline.

It's super cool, but too bad it's so enormous. Especially with those endlinks, the lug to lug must be huge.
