Oris Aquis Divers, size differences 43mm/46mm

So being new to Oris and the Aquis line which is my favorite, I was not sure what to expect from either size of 43mm and 46mm. My first purchase 3 months ago was a 43mm. I loved it but I knew right away I should have gone 46mm after wearing it a few days. I still love the 43mm but my 46mm sees all the wrist time. That's why I have my 43mm up for sale. The 43mm visually is awesome but my 46mm Great Barrier Limited Edition is not only visually awesome but the 46mm wrist presence is what I enjoy the most. You can't tell that much difference unless you have them side by side or have immediate pics on the wrist of each. Check out just how much big of a difference the 3mm makes in these photos.

You must have 7.5"+ wrist. That 46mm looks to be right at home. I can see why you like it over the 43mm.

Thanks a bunch man. Actually my wrist is right at a 7. Before I shattered my left wrist when I played high level competitive tennis and had a titanium plate installed to piece my wrist back together I was a solid 6 3/4. Now I'm right at a 7 inch. For some reason I've always been able to wear or pull off larger watches. I like typically between 44mm to 45mm. The Aquis actually wears smaller than listed so this 46mm wears much like a 44mm to 45mm I think personally. I really love my 43mm Aquis visually but I find it to be a bit too small when I wear it. That's why I have listed for sale on the forums. My next piece I want to get is the Certina DS Chrono Action Diver. It's 45.2mm. Here is a pic of it. It's a cool looking piece. Kind of odd that a 45mm watch looks rather normal on me with my small wrist. Must have something to do with my arm build. I'm only like 5 10 or maybe 5 11 at 180lbs. I did play college baseball too so my build is a lot like baseball player if that makes any difference. I've always gravitated to larger watches.

Let's see some wrist shots of your larger and smaller Oris watches and list your wrist size. I'm interested in wrist size vs watch case size and what others look like on their wrists. Here's another I just took of my 46mm on my 7 inch wrist

Love that model! Makes me not want to sell mine. Looks great on your size wrist too! Here's mine I took earlier. The hint of orange makes this watch pop!

Pic is borrowed from a web search. Comes in handy when guys pipe up about 43mm being TOO BIG for a 6.5 inch wrist, or women divers wanting an Aquis.

Good one too. You should post your comments on a thread I started in the Dive Watch Forum about Case Size and What's your Sweet Spot. Lots of debate on what I said that the watch arena as a whole as slowly enlarged the average case size from when I started collecting at 27 until now at me being 41. Typical size back then around 41mm to 42mm max and to current day typical Divers are around the 44mm mark. Some of the guys don't think so but it's so obvious that watches have slowly evolved to an average of around 44mm for dive watches I should say.
