    Oris Aquis Running Fast

My Aquis Date runs too fast for my liking;10 seconds or more fast a day. Ive tried laying it on its face at night to no avail. It's still under warranty and I'm curious if Oris would regulate it to be more accurate, or will I have to go elsewhere? Is it even possibile to dial it in? Any suggestions?

    Thanks

10seconds fast is still within specs which is stated to be up to 12seconds.
i doubt oris would bother with it as its still within specs.
you could take it elsewhere, but that would just mean taking out money for the service.

Your Aquis will be fitted with the SW200 or the SW200-1 movement and the specs are a maximum of -5 secs and plus 30 secs per day so your watch is running well within acceptable limits meaning that Oris probably wouldn't entertain it for free. Do bear in mind though that if you take your watch to a non authorised repair centre to have it regulated you will void your warranty.

Thanks all. Guess I'm gonna just continue to set it a lil slow to compensate. Good to know also that having it worked on outside Oris will void warranty; didn't know that.

how is Oris going to find out the case has been opened?
unlike Omega with its red dot on the caseback...i dont see anything similar with Oris.

They wouldn't know if it's done by a pro. But if it gets scratched in the opening/closing process by the wrench I'll bet Oris will see that it's been opened and cancel the warranty.
