ORIS BC Propilot Day Date issue - Owners / oppinions wanted

    Hey.

I got a ORIS Big Crown ProPilot Day Date and started noticing an issue.

The number of the date is pretty off compared to the day, which i think is straight.

I send it in for repairs under warranty. And this picture is from today, after I got it back from repairs.
I'm disappointed to say the least. And wonder if even anything was done to correct the issue.

    Now my question is ...
Is this simply a common issue ?

How does it look on your Big Crown ?

I’ve got watches that are worse than that but they’re not in the same price bracket as the BC. I don’t think this is up to the sort of standards you should expect from Oris so have a talk to the dealer about it.

Mine varies a tiny bit, and can be seen when setting/changing the day and date, but I think this is nothing to lose sleep over, really. These are mechanical components. I'd be more worried if the SPD varied considerably; fortunately, mine was like a rock at +8 SPD. These days it's consistent at about +3.5 SPD after a regulation was performed.

Shouldn’t be the case. If I may ask- did you change the day/date between 8pm to 4am? If you did- that might be one reason as to why it’s not aligned.

However being as it was sent back and still came back like this, is unacceptable. You should send it back with pictures and hopefully they are able to resolve the matter.

Sorry for this late reply guys.

So, I send it back again ... but not for this issue ...
It seemed the assembly was not done right after the repairs.
I noticed that my watch stopped at certain times. And a slight shake would start it up again.

At first I thought something major was going on. But then I realized as i took macro shots of the watch, the secondhand would get stuck on the minutehand !!

Now I was truly dissapointed in the repair services.

Send it back in and got it back now for about a week.
All is fine now. I even think the day-date issue is slightly better then before. But it could also be my imagination. Or it will get more noticable again when the date goes into the double digits again.

Overall I'm slightly disappointed in ORIS. And my blind love for them has been slightly tainted, lol.

But I'll leave it like this now. I'm happy I can wear my PP again without major issue.
    I love this watch !

Myrrhman, don’t let the poor quality service sour the brand a a whole for you as Oris make superb watches.

    You're right :)
My love for them will probably not fade anyway.
They are an amazing brand. I love most of the watches they make. And I love their interaction with their fanbase.
Especially on Instagram, where they regularly react to my stories. And like my posts :)

    Thanks @sticky ! :)

Just a weird thing...but, agreed that Oris needs to make it right. Period.
