    Oris Depth Gauge opinions

So asked opinions on the public forum about my next purchase and many people recommended the Oris Aquis so that's why I'm here . This morning I ended up putting on the Oris Depth Gauge and wow was I impressed. For the size of watch it actually looked pretty good on my 6.5 inch. For 2K Cdn, I could get this beauty of a watch. I am NOT a diver. Just a desk diver that wants a solid/unique watch that I could be proud of. This would be the most I've ever spent on a watch and then this would be it for a while (I hope). I know the price is very good. I would like people's opinions on this watch (e.g. pros/cons). Thanks!

Love mine , great looking watch which is good quality and unique with the depth gauge feature. Comes with both strap and steel bracelet as well so gives you a smart or sporty look.

$2,000 CAD is a steal for that watch. Is it new, from an AD?

I've never tried it, but I know Sticky has one and loves it. I have three Oris Divers (ProDiver, Aquis, Divers Sixty-Five, and what I CAN tell you is that you can't go wrong with Oris. They build great watches at a very good price point.

It's up to you, personally I don't find it to be a very useful complication, but then again, I don't dive. I think I would stick to the regular Aquis, or if I wanted to increase the budget, I might look at Sinn, Damasko, or a preowned Omega Seamaster.

The watch has a boat load of pros and IMO only one con - if you were gifted with a puny wrist like me (6.75") I find it a bit of a hefty beast to wear but it a very small price to pay for what is essentially a fantastic watch.

I love the look of the new DLC model on the yellow strap.

Question: wouldn't sand get in the depth gauge hole?

The DG comes with a cleaning kit (a syringe and tube) to flush sand and dead fish of of the tube.
