Oris repair in New Jersey / NYC

While winding (very gently, as always) my Oris Pointer Day, something clicked inside and it stopped running.
    Out of warranty.
Can somebody recommend reputable shop in New Jersey or NYC?
    Thank you.

This is the only authorized repair center in the US -

    The Watchmaker, 379 Main Street
    02180 Stoneham, MA
    tel.: +1-781-438-6977
    [email protected]
    www.orisrepair.com

I'm pretty sure you can find an unauthorized dealer to fix your watch. However, I will say that I sent a Glycine Combat 7 that I used to own to the aforementioned repair center and they did a great job repairing it and the cost was reasonable.

Since this watch is out of warranty, I am looking for a local repair shop so I can bring it in and pickup in person.
    Thank you.

Just be sure you find a GOOD watch repair place. I have a Seiko Sumo that stopped working. I found a local place with good reviews on yelp and they completely destroyed my case, hands and left particles on the dial. And they failed to repair the movement. Next time I'll be sending my watch to an authorized repair center. I don't trust the small repair shops anymore.

That is precisely why I made the suggestion I made.

Yep, and this small watch shop charged me about what I would expect to pay at an AD anyway. I was fine with it, but I assumed they would do good work, not completely destroy my watch and fail to fix the problem!

    Thank you guys and Rosborn,

I am convinced, this watch is going to The Watchmaker in MA.
I will let you know the outcome.
