    Oris Worldtimer resell value question.

Hello all, I found these forums through googling.

I have an Oris Worldtimer that I got as a gift in 2001. I can't find any pictures of it on the Oris website, or anywhere else, so I'm not too sure of the model. It's gone in for repairs twice in that time, and I'm not pleased with that :(

I've now fallen in love with the Sinn Lufthansa Cargo watch, and I'm wondering if I should try and make a trade. How much do you reckon a worldtimer could sell for? Its got the metal bracelet etc.

If someone has pictures of old Oris collections I could point the exact model out.

Here is one for sale currently by The Watchseller (aka Ed Loebl). Does this look like the one you have?

There are a few more here.

If you could describe your watch it might be helpful, or check out the model number in the back: it should look like "690 XXXX XXXX".

Unhappy Re: Oris Worldtimer resell value question.

Hello Chris, yes that one look similar, but not quite the one. I found a link while googling some more:

    http://www.pacifictime.com/oris-watches.htm

This one looks very similar. Mine has the steel bracelet, but other than that I cant think of any differences.

The problem with mine was, that the threading had gone, which meant I couldn't screw the crown down tight. (I'm not familiar with that much watch terminology, the thingy you unscrew to set date/time/wind mechanism would be constantly unscrewed)

Repairs are going to be costly

My watch is in for repairs, so I cant check the back right now.

It is quite a "rugged" watch, with a see through back. The edges around the back have U-shaped "dents" in it. Very similar to the link above (if not the same).
