Poor power reserve on Oris F1

My Oris Williams F1 Day Date has a power reserve of only 31 hours after fully winding and leaving it dial up. I've owned it from new since 2010 and it was serviced several months ago. The movement is an Oris 635, base ETA 2836-2 which is supposed to be good for 38 hours and all my other watches manage a few hours over their spec power reserve.

My watch guy has had a look at it a few times and says he can't see anything wrong with the movement or the power reserve. Anyone have an idea of what the problem might be and how it could be fixed? I'm thinking perhaps there is a problem with the barrel or spring. Is it normal for watches to lose their power reserve over time?

    Thanks in advance.

Hum! Don't know what it might be, my guess is as good as yours as I thought of the same, the spring barrel. However, I'd leave it as is until it's time for a full service overhaul.

Maybe you should check with whoever performed the service months ago and confirm what had been/not been replaced? Don't they offer any sort of guarantee on their work performed for a given period of time?

The local official service center for Oris offer 12 months warranty for works performed, YMMV.

It's not what I'd call feeble so perhaps you should leave it until the next service and then have the spring looked at.

Thanks for the replies. My watch guy has said that he can't see anything wrong with the movement and when it was last serviced, it was cleaned and lubricated as the rotor was spinning when the crown was turned. His work is guaranteed and he has offered a full refund but I'd rather that the power reserve was fixed. Just seems strange that the power reserve is so poor yet the service didn't bring anything up.

So I wound the watch with about 40 turns of the crown, wore it for a few days and then measured the power reserve and it's now up to 36 hours. Seems like perhaps I wasn't winding it enough at the beginning or that winding from the crown might have a problem. I did try before with more than 40 turns of the crown and again it didn't manage more than 31 hours so wondering if there is a problem..
