My expectations for good customer service are so diluted these days. It's frustrating. However, I am happy to report that one company in particular, Oris, still delivers in this category. I purchased a watch off of this forum that came on a bracelet. I took receipt and everything looked great. 1-2 days later I noticed the end links seemed loose. After further inspection, the end link at the 6 hour position would easily flip up. Irked, I removed the bracelet, inspected it, and put it back on. No go. I tried different spring bars. No go. I sent a note to Oris who referred me to their authorized service center. In my discussions with the service center I found out that there was a known manufacturing defect on my end links and that Oris had since resolved the issue with newly designed ones. The service center had them on hand so I had the opportunity to buy them. I decided not to and emailed Oris back kindly asking if they would replace the end links free of charge given the manufacturing defect. They asked where I bought the watch to which I answered honestly, 3rd party. Shortly thereafter I received a response from Oris approving my request. I then received an email shipping confirmation from their service center. 2 days later the end links arrived and I am happy to report that the problem is now solved. Kuddos to Oris for reminding me that great customer service is still alive and well. I've owned 3 Oris's over the years and I can assure you this will not be the last.
