Thoughts on Oris Flight Timer R4118?

    Hey all,
So, I have the opportunity to pick up an Oris Flight Timer for a really great price. I think the watch is both vintage with the coined bezel and cathedral hands, but also unique, with the big GMT nob. With that said, my wife hates it! :) She said she things the nob looks like a tumor...Not that her opinion is everything, but I know that I often times get excited about a watch, and tend to overlook features that will later annoy me and cause me to flip it.

Sooo, what do you all think? Good daily wearer? Or too outlandish wit the big GMT nob?

    Hi there

    Excellent choice if you ask me. I actually have this one: 01 690 7615 4164-07 8 22 58 - Oris BC4 Flight Timer - Oris BC4 - Aviation - Collection - Oris - Purely mechanical Swiss watches.

I love it. Like yours, both watches are different and they will generate lots of discussion.

But, at the end of the day, it comes down to what you like.

    All the best!!!

    Cheers

    Patrick

I don't have one myself (wish I did) but people who have them absolutely love them and the wart causes the owners no problems at all.

I really like mine:very comfortable and great wrist presence. Unfortunately
mine came new from overseas ( I forget where ) and the R4118 model airplane
was in pieces. Since the entire box was too large to keep around (HUGE)
I just chucked it and kept the watch.
    Good Hunting!

Not a wart fan but otherwise love the watch.

It was a fun watch to sell, but not for me.
