Back in 2007, my beautiful fiance gave me my first nice watch, an upgrade from my Nixon. We spent hours looking at different makes and models, but my heart settled on the Oris small second date. It was different, it was unique, and I'd never seen anyone else wearing one.
It has been with me through the birth of four children, diving in three different oceans, four different jobs, and 2 houses. It was my only watch until 2017, and took a lot of abuse from desk diving, yard work, and from kids in general. The only thing I have ever had to do, is replace the mainspring and 2 regular services. This thing has been an absolute tank! It's scratched, beat up, and the lugs aren't quite as straight as they used to be. But it's still beautiful!
I now own 3 Omegas, 2 Tags, and a Tudor, but the Oris still gets the most wrist time.
You never forget your first.
