    19mm Rubber Strap?

I have a 38.5mm Omega Aqua Terra with 19mm lugs. I prefer straps to bracelets, but I would like to be able to swim with it. It is, after all, water resistant to 150m, but I don't because it has a leather strap. I've looked for 19mm rubber straps to use when I'm hanging out at the pool or swimming, but they seem to come in even sizes. One vendor recommended buying a 20mm strap and just letting the rubber compress. I'm not sure if this is just a vendor trying to sell product or if this is what people really do. Is there perhaps a hidden source for odd size rubber straps?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks!

if you check ebay you can find tropic straps in 19mm. Sometime's they're genuine vintage NOS tropics which are pricey but you can also find newer ones for less.

Why not to use 18mm rubber strap ?

There will be a tiny gap so you won't damage the strap while installing / removing it.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually hadn't thought of an 18mm strap with a gap, but I was considering trimming a 20mm down to 19. Has anyone ever done that?

Most 20mm rubber straps can used on 19mm lugs easily. I use a 22mm BC on my 21mm SM300MC. You don't even notice it.

Better to go up a strap size (You are only talking 1mm) and fit it (should not even have to trim it), as opposed to going to a size smaller with gap/loose fitting potential, IMHO.

    Look at watchbandcenter.com.

They have a great selection of uneven sized straps.

They are located in Germany, but ship fast and have a good variety if you don't want to fit a 20mm strap.
