Advice on strap for bathyscaphe watch

    Hi
I tried posting in another forum and didn’t get a response so hoping I’ll get more joy here.
I just picked up a Blancpain Bathyscaphe that came with a black sailcloth strap. I’m not a huge fan of the strap and am planning to replace it with a new one (or a couple) and have been looking at a custom order Fromm ABP. the ones I’m torn between are a khaki suede crocodile, a khaki elephant and grey hippo(!). I’ve attached pics below along with one of the dial for reference.
    Any thoughts appreciated
    Thanks

The khaki would look awesome on it.

I love the bathy....I assume you have the 43mm...so that's a lot of watch and if I remember it has a weird lug size, like 23mm...so a lot of band to look at. I personally love the sail cloth on a deployant...but as the bathy is a luxury diver you can really get away with a lot of different looks. But I think its cool to go exotic. I'd even consider w/the dark grey face of the watch maybe ostridge leg in a dark grey die. That sunburst dial is so dramatic (unless you got the Ti version then its flat)....it can really go w/anything. Me personally, I'd stay w/the darker colors. Post whatever you find. GL w/your search...

Thanks I’ll post pictures with what I get for sure. I’m also definitely getting a deployant clasp - I’m so used to watches on bracelets I nearly drop this thing every time I try to do the pin buckle

For something affordable and really nice with similarities in what you are looking at, take a look at Mat's selection of goatskin leathers. Available in many earthy colors. This hide had become really popular in recent years and many makers are using it ... but Mat's straps are some of the nicest.

Khaki elephant gets my vote. Nice structure, great color.
    Awesome watch too :)

Reviving this thread for anyone who has a BP FF Bathyscaphe and is curious, I picked up the Khaki Elephant from 3leggedpony after he sold his watch.

Overall very happy with the look and quality of the strap.

Also quite like it on a Custom Black Stingray with Red Stitching.
