    Affordable $8 Mesh Bracelet !!

I bought this mesh bracelet on ebay for about $8 shipped. I first bought the 20mm version and liked it enough to also then pick up the 22mm version. They are about 4mm thick. Ends of each "link are bent inward but not soldered closed, some potential for snags maybe? They have very workable fold over clasp with squeeze style buttons for release and safety clamp. $8 well spent.

I found it quite difficult to cut these to length. The end of the remaining links ended up a little bent up when I was done but I was able to straighten them out.

I can imagine that an $80 version would be better. In stores I have tried factory mesh bracelets on watches from major swiss brands and they are certainly nicer. If I was looking for something for my Omega I would go upscale from this. But for $8 these are great, either for an affordable watch or even as a trial to see what it looks like before committing to a more expensive one for a high end watch. I used the first one I got to dress up a $17 beater and the 2nd one went on my Orient Mako as shown here.

Interesting find. I bought a cheap mesh off Amazon...I think made by iStrap for $10 and it was super cheap feeling. It was my first go at mesh so it kind of turned me off from mesh. Though, in general, they seem really comfortable and I may have another go at one eventually.

I like how yours connects at the lugs with the individual pieces bent around the spring bar. And seems to have a nice clasp...much better than the one I bought. For $2 less, yours looks a lot better than mine below...by no means an endorsement...

Looks great for the price. Fits the watch very nicely.

$8 + some sweat equity = a nice looking mesh bracelet!

Looks good. It has that stronger, beefier appearance. May be a good option for my Vostok without being more expensive than the watch.

My thought was similar when I bought it. I had a couple of affordable watches that I wanted to try on a mesh. At the price you can't go wrong even as a trial before investing in a more expensive one; not a big gamble, not a lot to lose if you decide mesh is not your thing. But I am very happy with the quality of these, much higher than the price. Look for them on ebay with the description including 4mm thick.

I am pretty sure these Item numbers are the same one I bought (but from a different sellers):

Maybe one day I will try one on my Omega SMP Bond 300 for a few days.

Here is the first one of these mesh bracelets I bought, the 20mm version. The Jaragar watch was only $17 a couple years ago. It's a Chinese automatic multifunction. While I think its a nicer watch than the low price it doesn't warrant an expensive bracelet. So this was great match at the $8 price. The combination isn't perfect but I like this a lot more than the cheap faux leather that came on the watch.

Here are the 20mm and 22mm on the 2 watches.

I have the same strap and I found that using a Dremel with a cutting wheel it was very easy to size. Your mileage may vary. :)

Are they stainless? I would be concerned about rust.

They are advertised as stainless steel. I'm always wary of ebay sellers misstating the facts about their products. So perhaps these are not stainless steel and in time I will know because of corrosion. But so far I do think these are actually stainless steel. The wires proved to be incredibly hard and strong when I cut them with wire cutters to adjust the bracelets to my size.
