    Bad Bracelets! Which ones?

Two types I will not wear:

1- Expansion, Spiedel, Twistoflex, whatever you call it, they suck as hairpulling, rickety junk.

2- Jubilee style are rattly, noisey, stretchy, hairpulling, ugly. garbage

Methinks, someone has handled (or read online about) a 20 year old datejust, but has not seen the new Jubilee bracelet on modern DJ. They are made quite well now-days, very precise, solid, and smooth.

The vostok amphibia (scuba dude) comes with the worst folded, hair pulling bracelet in the history of creation.

I would say my best bracelets in terms of comfort, complete lack of hair pulling and build quality. In no particular order would be:

    1. The one on my Hamilton Khaki pilot
    2. The one on my prometheus sailfish
    3. The one on my GS
    4. The one on my sinn T1.

I love bracelets, but I'm very particular about bracelet design. If it's more complicated than a three link oyster-style bracelet, I'm probably turned off by the design.

That's what I wear and that's a Hadley Roma and with care they'll last 20+ years. You'll be hard pressed to spend more than $40.

Aside from the rickety, junky feel, why don't they make them in proper widths, instead having the spring loaded lug end so that a 22mm lug has a 18mm band width? Looks like crap.

The Oyster bracelet that came on the Explorer is my least favorite. The edges were so sharp they felt like they were cutting into my arm. Large links also don't lend themselves to wrapping smoothly around the wrist, compounding the issue of the sharp edges.

My favorite is the bracelet that came on the Hamilton Intramatic. It's like wearing metallic silk.

One of the nicest bracelets I've seen, Ebel 1911.
