Best rough out style suede strap under $100

I wanted to get the windup shop type 2 in Mojave or camel but it's sold out. Can anyone recommend a quality suede strap in suede? Color would be camel/peanut. Not very dark brown

I'll second the B&R, because they *don't* throw in the chevron stitch at the tongue, as many suede makers seem to do.

Another one would be Atelier del Sur. Nice variety of width options, 3 length options. Of some note, they ONLY do tapered straps, and some of em are fairly heavily tapered...17-20 mm at the lugs, are all tapered to 16 mm buckle. 21 and 22 are tapered to 18. Might ask if they'd do 20/18 if that's what you'd prefer. Turnaround was quick.

Check lengths, too. One mild annoyance with B&R is that they purchase from a supplier, they're not making the straps. That leads to availability issues...what you want might not be available.

For the price point, £33, the Rios1931 Hudson has to be a contender

Fluco or Colareb. I give a nod towards Colareb, but both are quality.

This Colareb (Venezia style) may be closer to your color but will be a smoother nap than the Spoleta style above (in hand looks like smooth suede vs smooth leather as pic may suggest):

yeah, that chevron seems annoying to me also. Wonder why they add it.

Counterpoint? The 2-stitch approach is only seen with corner stitching at the lug end, IIRC, so perhaps it's viewed as a balance aspect. Colareb does a "bottom stitch" matching the top stitching.

It COULD be functional, too, I suppose, but that seems a bit of a reach. There might be a concern of abrasion separating the lining leather...that conceivably was the initial argument.

    I'm guessing tho.
