In my quest for a decent blue croco pattern strap I stumbled across Brady Straps in this forum and others. All of the reviews were positive but centered around a single type. The Sailcloth pattern strap. Being hopeful, I ordered one of their Croc Elite Blue Strap with White Stitch straps. Here is an objective review.
First off, the order arrives 3 business days later than what their order confirmation states. Not that big a deal but important if you are in a hurry for a replacement.
Once I received the strap the color and patterning of the strap were great. The buckle was decent and the stiching was decent for this price range, albeit the strap was a little stiff. I mounted the strap to a Seiko 5 with 20mm lugs and put the watch on. Immediately the strap cracked at every adjustment hole. Not only was the surface material cracked, but the foam "filler" all the way through the strap.
Here is a picture.
I immediately contacted Brady Straps, sent them the above picture, and asked if this was "normal". They replied that it was indeed "not normal" and they would send a replacement out right away. Great! I thought. Things happen.
Fast forward 10 days and I noticed I did not receive the strap. I again reached out to Brady Straps and asked if they were going to honor the defective strap and follow through with the replacement.
I received a response from them that stated "the strap will ship out this coming week.".
So as of this writing I am waiting for a replacement strap and will update this post if I do AND confirm the replacement does not exhibit the same problems.
Hopefully these problems don't exist for the other straps in their line for those thinking about getting one of them.
