    Breitling style deployants

I've looked on what seems to be dozens of strap seller websites and many have "Breitling style" deployants. All the deployants I've found are double fold and open by pushing tabs on each side of the clasp. I have two Breitlings and neither have a clasp of this fashion. Aside from original Breitling clasps, can anyone direct me to a clasp which requires the user to lift one part of the clasp (which seems to be a feature which prevents accidental opening) before lifting the part which actually allows the clasp to open?

BTW I need something that will work with a 20mm leather or kevlar strap.

    Thanks very much.

Pantime has very similar deployments. Personally I wouldn't seek out something to close to Breitling as they are uncomfortable and hard on the leather.

They are called "single fold" deployants.

I think you're confusing bracelet clasps with Breitling strap deployants. Breitling strap deployants are a simple, friction fit, single fold style (no buttons and no security flip). What you described above are bracelet clasps. I'm not aware of such a thing as a single-fold deployant for a strap that also has a security flip.

    Brent has a good point.

Might want to make sure we are giving you the suggestions to help you, not confuse you.

    Re: Breitling style deployants

Thanks all. Here's a photo, of a Breitling bracelet, but which shows the type of clasp I'm looking for. I am at fault for not having provided more of an explanation of what I'm looking for. I want a deployant clasp as pictured but which I can put on a leather/kevlar/sailcloth strap. Thanks in advance.

    Breitling style deployants

I would go on eBay and search for Rolex replacement clasps. I think the actual name of the clasps are "flip lock clasp buckle. You will want to look at both sides of the clasp and determine that it has a spot for spring bars on both sides. Many of these type of clasps are meant to be attached to links (at least on one side: the fixed end link side) and not bands. So you might have trouble finding what your looking for.

I have one custom that was built to be attached to a Rolex clasp. It's nice but it is different looking. IMHO this is generally not the type of clasp you should be seeking.

    Re: Breitling style deployants

You're barking up the wrong tree. Bracelet clasps and strap deployants aren't interchangeable. You can't take a bracelet clasp, like the type you showed, and make it work on a strap like a deployant.
