Don't use the word "NATO" anymore!

I was just confirmed that International Watchman Inc. is the legal owner of this word/product. One of my eBay listings was removed because they filled a complain regarding the use of NATO in the heading. The watch I was selling came with a 2 Piece NATO Strap.

There are thousands of listings on the Bay with NATO in the title and many here use the word NATO freely without knowing the consequenses.

If the moderators feel that this post can cause legal problems since I'm using NATO to call NATO out… pleas do not hesitate to remove my post.

Shall I start using the term N4TO instead of NATO?

Will they also buy that name if it catches on?

    Say Nayto to NATO!

That's such BS, shame on International Watchman. Shame and nothing but Shame. If he actually served in the armed forces in a NATO operation, maybe I won't hate him so much. I earned a NATO ISAF medal for my time in Afghanistan, so he can come after me for saying NATO as much as he wants. NATO NATO NATO NATO NATO NATO NATO NATO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this is true, he should be ashamed of himself, it's a term that's been around for a long time.

If this proves out to be true, I will not buy anything from him.

They removed your listing because he filed a complaint? File one back on one of his listings then: its not like he actually submitted evidence that he owns that term. He made a complaint because he was bored and ebay just rolled over because they've become so pathetic and disappointing.

File a complaint that he used the word "the" in a listing, and you are the legal owner of that word. You didn't give him permission.

His site says he has trademarked "NATO Brand". How did he ever convince anyone to approve that?? So shamefully dirty....

Whew, no worry here. I wear my Vostok on a Warsaw Pact strap anyway.

Re: Don't use the word "NATO" anymore!

Are they gonna sue Omega for their "Nato straps"? Or only those individual sellers on the bay? That would be really interesting.
    I´d never buy from them.
Hmmm, I´m thinking of register the term "steel" in steel bracelet and get some royalties....

    Best regards.

Re: Don't use the word "NATO" anymore!

What if you list it as a N.A.T.O strap, would that work?
