    edge beveler question

I am looking to get a good beveler and have seen that they come in different sizes 1-7. For making straps what size would you recommend? Also I have seen there are different types like French edgers and the sort. Thanks for the help.

    G'day chef,

I use a no.2 beveler & reckon it does a great job on the corners of straps. As for a French edger, never heard of it....

never use them, no need, merely another tool sold by folks trying to make moolah from hobbyists.

    shane...diggin your minimalist approach!

from my little research (bare in mind I've yet to make a single strap myself) there appear to be adjustable bevelers which would make sense...also free hand bevelers.

Some folk love to have every gadget that is out there, but realistcally you don't need much, its all down to your hands at the end of the day.
