Flexible leather band for my Laco Navy?

Hi there! What strap would you recommend for my Laco Navy:

I find the original to be too stiff. I'd like something soft and flexible. If it's thick, better.

    Thanks!

I'd think that ammo would look good on that design, but those are 20mm lugs, correct? I would suggest that ammo needs 22mm+. Also, the space from the springbar holes to the bottom of the case looks pretty thin, so if you want a thick strap, it would need to be built uin such a way that the springbar area is skived appropriately.

Funny that a "Navy" watch would have a pilot style strap - they should have called it the "Air Force". As I see it, the rivets are poorly placed - they are pushed up against the stitching too much, it doesn't look right.

You could stick to the pilot-style strapm, and just get one a little more refined: maybe 24mm notched to meet the 20mm lugs, more space for the rivets, and then a quick taper a la IWC. With that cream dial, I say that a British tan shade looks great, pretty much the colour you have there, and if you want something more supple, look for calf, etc.

    Maybe an ammo aviator?

You can watch something happen, you can make something happen, or you can stand there wondering what the hell just happened.

Its a Eichmuller padded saddle leather. These are flexible, right? I do not want anything stiff.

Ammo straps can be $350+. or >$100. Or somewhere inbetween close to neither. Depends on the maker, not the materials.
