    Gap in deployant clasp

Deployant clasp from TimePieceRepublic on Ebay just arrived today. I put it on and noticed that there is a gap between the top and bottom of the clasp. It looks like it does not close completely, and after pulling on it it does not open, but it does widen the gap to an uncomfortable level. Looks like an aesthetic issue that could possibly become a functional one.
Has anyone had this happen? If so, how can I attempt to fix this?

Probably within the manufacturing variance. Chances are, if it doesn't open by itself now, it won't down the road. It's the spring mechanism in the top piece that is prone to failure, not the base plate.

Was fiddling around with it last night and I was able to consistently open the clasp just by wiggling the leather strap back and forth. Not good news.

Update: I messaged the seller on eBay and they are sending a new deployant clasp out on Monday. No questions asked. Amazing customer service. Will buy from again, though possibly just leather straps next time.

Agree. However, if you are not happy, send it back. TPR is easy to work with.
