Yet another handmade strap thread from me i'm afraid but had to share.
During my latest project as i was fumbling around in my strap making box i stumbled across the first attempt i ever made at muddling a strap together so thought i'd share some side by sides.
It's a little embarrassing to be fair but i thought it might encourage you guys who are starting out in custom strap fabrication and remind you not to get too disheartened with your first attempts as practice and nothing but, makes perfect.
Brace yourself coz this ain't gonna be pretty....
I know, i know, what do you mean you don't want it anywhere near your speedie?? but nevertheless, 3 months later and i'm now knocking out this....
Quick side by side...
I thought i'd add this one to remind you to keep imaginative when sourcing your materials. This strap was actually put together from some builders tool belt that i found at some thrift store/market and was the grand price of £1.
Hope you like it and the moral is to always persevere no matter how much you feel your customs aren't quite cutting the mustard, just find some more materials and try,try again.
You will get the results.
