    Help with finding strap!

Hello everyone, first time poster and newbie watch collector. I recently caught the vintage watch bug and just won an old WW1 era fulton on Ebay.

My question is, what type of strap would I need to buy for this?

    Thanks in advance!

As always you should check this forums sticky posts for a huge list of online retailers and strap suppliers. With something like this going for a vintage inspired strap is sort of a no brainer, anything else would just look wrong. With those wire lugs your only options are going to be nato's or zulu's though.

Any specific straps you think may look nice with this?

if you want to go off the watch look, a nice light tan with white stitching could look cool.

There are straps made specifically for watches with fixed lugs other than NATO/Zulu.
Open end straps are made in two variations:
    - clip end straps, that have an open ended metal reinforced clip that attaches to the lugs
    - glued end straps that have a flap, often with glue pre-applied(needs to be activated with acetone), that is glued down after the flap is inserted through the lugs

Check here for the size you need or search for "open end watch strap":

What he said. I've got a 1950's dress watch that I installed an 18mm, open end, lizard strap on. The nice thing about NATO's is the option to change straps easily-- unlike my watch that only allows a change if I wreck the current strap.

A Nato strap would look and work great on that vintage watch, IMHO.
