    Help with Seiko Knight strap

I have a Seiko Orange Knight that came with the rubber dive strap. The strap is too long, and it also does not feel right. I would like to fit a nice waterproof leather or nylon strap to this watch.

Here is my problem: the watch lugs are like 16mm, and the shoulders are close to 22mm. I want a 20mm band. So far, I am not finding anything that fits the bill. I'm hoping the experts here can help with some suggestions. Please help!

    Thanks in advance.

Yes! The width between the lugs is about 16mm, but a 16mm strap would look terrible on such a big watch. The stock rubber strap is about 20mm wide and tapers to 18mm. It is notched to fit between the case lugs.

Your diagram is exactly what I need. I have been looking for a good strap for this knight, but no luck so far!

Just buy a 22mm strap you like and cut (notch) the lug ends so that you have a 16mm wide end for the springbars.
I had an orange knight once and cutting the strap worked perfectly.
Try it out on an old junky strap first - or a piece of cardboard - to get the hang of it.

You mean something like this. I just did this one for a friend. He has a company named Cactus Arms in the UK and wanted something for his new orange Knight. Waiting to punch holes untill I can do it in person to get the right fit.

    Thanks for your TIME!

HI, i don't have the strap of your size on hand, let me just share some similar strap that i made,

Anyway, i think it is a good idea for trim a 22mm strap too,

    Let's use for reference,

Use leather to cover the shoulder part.
